APPRENTICESHIPS

Apprenticeships are work-based training programs that allow you to train in your chosen work area if you are already in employment. While on an apprenticeship, you will work at least 30hours a week while receiving training and development from our dedicated trainer and assessor who will support you, largely in your place of work, to achieve your qualifications. These qualifications are real work-based certificates that tell your current or future employer that you are qualified in your subject area and have the work experience. Funding is subject to eligibility.

ADULT EDUCATION BUDGET (AEB) PROGRAMMES

If you are 19+ and Unemployed and looking to start a career in a chosen field. We train you and help you progress into Full or Part-time employment, higher qualification levels, and apprenticeship programs.

Funding is subject to eligibility. You will get training that provides you with qualifications in:

  • Level 1&2 - Employability Skills

  • Level 1&2 - Functional Skills (Maths, English, and ICT)

  • Level 2 - Business Administration

  • Level 2 - Child Care

  • Level 1 - Construction

  • Level 2- Customer Service

  • Level 1-Retail Knowledge

  • English for Speakers of other languages - ESOL

TRAINEESHIPS

A traineeship is perfect if you are aged 16 to 24, have a D grade or lower at GCSE, and are looking to get into work. You will get work skills, experience, and great employer references. Traineeship programs have helped many people progress into full-time Apprenticeships or employment and paid as quickly as possible. Funding is subject to eligibility.

HOW TRAINEESHIP WORKS

  • Classroom and Online training to prepare you for work and providing you with qualifications

  • Work placement of at least 101hours (4 weeks) with a local business

  • Employer reference for you documenting your work experience

  • Job interview with the employer for a job or apprenticeship offer

  • Ongoing help and support after you have done your placement to find work if needed.

24+ ADVANCED LEARNING LOANS

If you are aged 24 or above, you can now apply for a 24+ Advanced Learning Loan. The Loan will help you pay for Level 3 and Level 4 ‘Certificate ‘and ‘Diploma’ courses.

You will not have to repay the loan until you are earning above £21,000 per year. To be eligible, you must meet the following criteria:

  • Aged 24 or over at the start of the course (no upper age limit)

  • A resident of the UK on the first day of the course (and lived in the UK for at least 3 years)

  • Studying with a provider approved for public funding

  • Enrolling on an eligible course at Level 3 or Level 4

  • Not previously has a loan to do the same qualification and level
